INDUSTRY HEAVYWEIGHTS JOIN THE TRAVEL LEDGER ADVISORY BOARD

Javier Gallego and John Melchior join Travel Ledger as Board Advisors

London, December 04, 2018 –  The Travel Ledger Alliance announced today that Industry experts Javier Gallego Alonso and John Melchior are to join the Travel Ledger advisory board.

Javier Gallego is a specialist in the area of Distribution, Payments, Clearing and Settlement Services. Javier worked for IATA for more than 20 years in various senior roles and was more recently leading globally the IATA Settlement Services (BSP, CASS and Clearing House) and Operations. Javier has a proven track records of heading global transformation projects and large-scale operations.

Javier Gallego states, ”I am very pleased to be involved with the Travel Ledger initiative. I believe the timing is right and the technology is now ready for the non-air sector to benefit from similar billing and settlement services as airlines. It is very interesting that this new initiative has a truly co-operative approach.”

John Melchior is a Travel Industry specialist with extensive experience in the commission settlement area for the hotel and TMC sectors, having been Vice President, Global Sales for more than 10 years for one of the leading hotel commission collection companies. A regular speaker at industry events, John is currently also a strategic advisor for Lufthansa City Centres, Sportsevents365, a founding partner in Hotel Comsult Ltd and has also acted as European Corporate Analyst for PhoCusWright.

John Melchior states, “I have always been an advocate for technology that increase efficiency and reduces cost. Travel Ledger announces Lastminute.com Group CEO as Advisory Board member

London, October 16, 2018– The Travel Ledger Alliance announced today that Fabio Cannavale, CEO of Lastminute.com group and Chairman of the Lastminute.com Foundation, is to join the Travel Ledger advisory board.

Fabio Cannavale was co-founder of eDreams Italy and then volagratis.com. The quick success of the latter brought growth, internationalization and acquisitions that have helped to build lastminute.com group which now offers travel and leisure services to over 10 million travellers every year and it’s listed on the SIX Stock Exchange (Zurich).

Fabio is also co-founder of Boost Heroes, a company that, with the help of its 40 members such as investors and business angels, invests in companies that have high potential but that are still in the first stages of their development.

Travel Ledger starts to unveil its advisory board with the chairman nomination

London, September 25, 2018–  The Travel Ledger Alliance announced today that former ABTA chairman and Advantage chief executive John McEwan is to join the Travel Ledger advisory board as chairman, with immediate effect.

McEwan is chairman of Holidaysplease, EFR Travel, Latin Routes and Travel Management Company, Amber Road, previously CTI.
